Mareeba Heritage Museum and Visitor Information
The Mareeba Heritage Museum recently voted by Trip Advisor as the #1 place to visit to Mareeba is free of charge. The Museum is open seven days a week, from 9am to 5pm, 362 days of the year.
The Museum was established in 1995 and is well supported by its diverse multicultural community with a collection of over 5,000 objects owned, used and proudly donated by members of the community.
Co-located with the MareebaVIC, with its accreditation sign and local attractions, it plays an important role in tourism in the Mareeba district and the wider Atherton Tablelands region. It is a landmark facility which the community is justifiably proud of.
The VIC also benefits from a retail outlet, which as well as selling tourist souvenirs, sells a range of publications regarding the history of the area, local arts and crafts, and local food products and snacks such as tea, coffee and dried mango.
The Mareeba Heritage Coffee House is a wonderful new venture where you can enjoy the very best of local produce in a charming and comfortable setting.
Treat yourself, treat your friends, and treat your family to an experience they won’t forget.
