Cairns Festival events will be held across the region with a full program that features music, art, theatre, film, comedy and more. The program is full of surprises and with most events FREE there is no reason not to venture out and get involved in our annual celebration.

  • The Grand Parade & Fireworks – 24th August
  • Sunday Funday – 25th August
  • City Lights at the Cairns City Library from 23 August to 1st September
  • “I Want to Know What Love Is” at Cairns Performing Arts Centre
  • “Slingsby’s The Young King” at The Young Company Theatre
  • “Opera Queensland’s Songs to Die For” at the Cairns Performing Arts centre
  • Circa presents “Peepshow” – 30th August, Cairns Performing Arts Centre
  • “You Should Be Dancing – A Project From Everyone” – 31st August, The Tanks Arts Centre
