Event Details

Up to 4000 athletes from Queensland, interstate and overseas are expected to participate in the inaugural 7 Cairns Marathon and Community Run Festival. Distances include 2km, 5km, 10km, half (21km) and full (42km) marathon distances.

This year the aim is for the event to generate funds for organisations such as major beneficiary Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC) and runners can use the event as a vehicle to fundraise for the charity of their choice.

Start Time: 5:45am

Start/Finish Line: Fogarty Park, Cairns

Minimum age 17

Cut Off Times: There is an overall cut off time of 5 hours 45mins; with interim check points. Runners must be past 21.1km in 2 hours 45mins.

Categories: 17-24, 25-29, 30-34. 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70+

Prize Money: Prize money is equal for male and female (overall finish position)

Entrants Gift: Each entrant receives a 2019 limited edition visor

Finishers Reward: Each finisher receives a commemorative 2019 medal and finishers towel

Age Group Prize: Winners in each category will be awarded with a 1st place Age Group medal and product prize from our sponsors
