About Tourism Tropical North Queensland
Tourism Tropical North Queensland (TTNQ) is the peak regional visitor destination and marketing organisation for Tropical North Queensland and is a membership based, industry funded, incorporated private company, limited by guarantee. In short, it’s the not for profit organisation responsible for promoting this incredible place.
TTNQ promotes the region to travellers from Australia and around the world. Covering an area starting in Cardwell in the south up to Cape York and the Torres Strait Islands, and inland to the Gulf Savannah. TTNQ plays an important role in the success and growth of the region. There are more than 2.3 million visitors to Tropical North Queensland each year and tourism is the number one employer in the region. TTNQ also works with the top tourism operators in Tropical North Queensland, such as hotels, tour companies, attractions and hire car companies, to help visitors create their dream holiday. The region is also home to a number of Visitor Information Centres to help visitors plan their trip.
